A double fold vanilla extract is when twice the quantity of vanilla beans are used for the same volume as a single fold extract. This results in a more concentrated extract.
Most store bought vanilla extracts are a single fold unless its specifically noted on the front label and usually made with Madagascar or several kinds of vanilla beans. Large companies use large vats to process the beans in a 48 hour time frame with using ethyl alcohol and water. We believe in the old tradition that requires several months, a LOT of patience and only using one kind of vanilla bean.

Our Vanilla extract is made from organic Mexican beans in a gluten free alcohol without added sugar, stabilizers or other additives. This is a very concentrated extract and does not contain water or thinners and has a thick slight syrupy consistency with small particles of the vanilla bean pod. We do not fine filter the finished product and it may present with a slight cloudiness, as the fine particles does give it an added richness.
You will receive a 1 fl oz glass dropper bottle and it has a shelf life of several years.
