The National Library of Medicine recognizes sage for its use in traditional medicine and has a published list of its benefits and uses.  These benefits include antioxidant activity, memory care, glucose lowering affects, anti cancer compounds, cholesterol management, body odor, hot flashes and supports the tissue in the lungs.  Sage is well known to herbalists for its cleansing and detoxifying properties with it helping to clean the sweat glands, improve body odor, has drying properties and can help with menopausal symptoms.

This herb is high in antioxidants, Vitamin K, thujone, phenolic acids, resin and tannins. Sage has been shown to be a strong antiseptic, anti fungal, antispasmodic, diuretic and has estrogen balancing properties.  This particular type of sage has additionally shown to have calming effects on the central nervous system.

This tincture is made with Salvia officinalis L.  and is a pure tincture made at a 1:2 ration with a grain alcohol extraction method.

Directions - Start with using one full dropper full, diluted in a glass of water 1x per day for one week and you may increase amount up to 3x per day, maximum dose, if needed.  This tincture in particular is to be used "as needed" for up to 16 weeks and not to be incorporated into a daily routine without a break past the recommended time frame.  We have found that the sage tincture works best when used in intervals such as 2 to 3 times per week.  Always dilute your tinctures in a glass of water or beverage of choice because they are very concentrated. For night sweats, start your dosage in the evenings, just before bedtime. If using for memory or nervous system care, start your dosage in the morning.

Sage is a real powerhouse with only needing small amounts to benefit from it. Make an oral rinse with using 1 full dropper in a 1/4th cup of water to swish around and spit out to improve gum health and as a strong antiseptic.

Use 2 full dropper fulls in 1 cup of water and use as a final hair rinse for dandruff and to stimulate the scalp for healthy hair growth.
